Photo Exhibition “Nippon” in Andorra

Photo Exhibition “Nippon” by Toru Morimoto and Tina Bagué in Andorra

Our photo exhibition “Nippon” traveled to Andorra this spring. The Institute of Andorran Studies who has established an annual cultural event called “Geografies” along with the city of Ordino invited us to the cultural event. This annual cultural event “Geografies” was organized to introduce foreign cultures to the citizens of Andorra every year through exhibitions, workshops, and conferences. And this year, the first year, Japanese culture was ivited to “Geografies”.  “Geografies” was held from May 9 to 21 in 2017 in the beautiful mountainous town of Ordino with the aim of bringing Japanese culture to the land of Andorra.

The opening ceremony of “Geografies” took place together with the opening of our photo exhibition “Nippon” at the exhibition hall on May 9 with the presence of the Minister of Culture of Andorra and the mayor of Ordino among other officials such as Jordi Guillamet, chief of the Institute of Andorran Studies and Albert Padrol, content director of the event. The opening ceremony was broadcasted by Andorran TV and covered by several Androrran media.
