SHIZEN

After Tohoku Earthquake and Tsunami in 2011, TÔRU has been photographing panoramic images of Japan in order to look for special relationship between the Japanese people and the nature. He believes that the special relationship between them creates unique Japanese landscapes in which he finds the Buddhist concept of impermanence that Kamo no Chomei wrote and depicted in the 13th century through the description of natural disasters like earthquakes in Kyoto .
